Welcome to Paradise

Welcome to Paradise is a dynamic new commissioning program featuring temporary public art projects by local South Florida artists. This program invites artists to create ambitious and experimental art installations that activate MOCA’s Paradise Courtyard.

For the second iteration of Welcome To Paradise, the selected artists each are considering the histories of Miami that have been hidden and are working to uncover the stories that make this city vibrant and nuanced. Using architecture, sound and movement, these interactive installations combine new engagements with technology and transform the space into an interactive destination that couples visual art with layers of storytelling to uncover multiple layers of Miami’s trajectory.
