Sunday Stories

Tune in on the first Sunday of every month for MOCA's Sunday Stories, a live story time for children, followed by a DIY early childhood art project.

MiniMakers

Join us every first Saturday of the month for MOCA miniMakers , a free step-by-step art making experience for kids.

Teen Art Force

A free after-school art program that provides students with a foundation in the visual arts. Classes include a wide range of techniques including drawing, textile design, sculpture, and printmaking.

Extended Care

We offer Extended Care (8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) during our seasonal Art Camps for $10/day.

Scholarships

Studio Art Camp
(Ages 6-9)

Our Studio Arts Camp provides a platform for campers to explore their individual artistic projects while drawing inspiration from MOCA exhibitions, fine art techniques, and renowned artists, both contemporary and historic. Engaging discussions, impressive showcases for family and friends, and hands-on projects await your young artists!

Hot lunch is free for all students but campers are welcome to bring lunch and snacks that do not require refrigeration. Studio Arts campers will have a morning snack at 10:15 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m.

Paint Power

Discover a world of color! Learn to use many different types of paint; from watercolor, to gouache, to acrylic and much more! Step into abstraction inspired by the work of Manuel Mathieu, and use line, shape, and color to tell your own story.

Week 2 ( June 16-20 )

ClayFul

Get hands-on with clay in this fun and creative week! Young artists will explore a variety of clay making techniques, including slab building, the coil method, and try out the potter's wheel. Campers will also learn about cultural traditions in ceramics and create their own unique clay masterpieces.

Shape Shifters

Young artists will dive into the exciting world of 3D art and sculpture! Using materials like paper, wire, wood, and papier-mâché, campers will explore how to transform everyday items into creative, eye-catching sculptures. This week is all about building, shaping, and letting imaginations take form!

Fabulous Fabrics

Campers will discover the endless possibilities of fiber art! From loom weaving and felting to batik dyeing, young artists will explore creative techniques that turn fibers into stunning works of art. This week encourages hands-on fun and imaginative expression using fibers as a versatile medium.

Paper Possibilities

Young artists will explore the endless potential of paper as a creative medium! Inspired by the work of Vickie Pierre, campers will combine mixed-media techniques with innovative paper art, creating layered, textured, and imaginative masterpieces. It’s a week of discovery and artistic experimentation!

Drawn to Drawing

This week, campers will dive into the art of drawing, exploring a variety of techniques and materials. From pencil and charcoal to pastels and ink, young artists will develop fundamental skills while expressing their creativity through engaging and fun drawing projects.

Wynwood Walls Week

Campers will explore the vibrant history of graffiti and the iconic Wynwood Walls! They’ll learn about the artists who transformed this Miami landmark and create their own colorful, graffiti-inspired artworks. It’s a week of bold creativity and street art fun!

Photo Collage

Campers will explore the art of photography and composition. They’ll use photos to create vibrant photo collages, combining visual elements to tell unique stories through their artwork. It’s a fun blend of photography and mixed media creativity!

Trash to Treasure
