Counselors will supervise children ages 6 through 13 years old, during the MOCA Summer Art Camps. This is a temporary position from June 9th - August 15h 2025 with a mandatory inclusivity training on June 7th. Counselors are responsible for assisting MOCA Summer Camp Educators and actively participating in daily indoor & outdoor recreational activities. This position works under the direction of the MOCA Summer Camp Manager to provide well-organized and continuous supervision of campers during each 1-week camp session. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to help the campers feel at home and in a safe space during the summer.
Major Areas of Responsibility
• Assist MOCA Educators in supervising and ensuring a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, during instructional time at MOCA’s Summer Art Camps.
• Advocate and communicate with your campers to ensure a safe and healthy communication is established in the classroom.
• Be responsible for the general safety, development, and achievement of the participants in their group; report concerns to leadership and document any issues.
• Organize classroom materials and help prepare for instruction, snack breaks, lunch and games to ensure the camp is presentable and welcoming.
• Manage children's behavior and act as a role model and mentor. Model constructive participation in all daily activities and field trips.
• Ensure all children in assigned group are accounted for onsite, and on field trips; conduct headcount for groups when loading buses, upon trip arrival/departure and throughout the day.
• Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your campers' safety and their whereabouts at all times onsite, and on field trips.
• Interact effectively and professionally with fellow employees, program participants, supervisors, staff, instructors and the general public.
• Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
• Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are essential functions of position.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prior experience working or volunteering with children ages 6 –13
• Minimum Experience, at least one of the following;
o one (1) season as summer camp volunteer
o one (1) season of paid experience with a summer camp, school or recreational program
o one (1) year experience instructing children in a recreational setting, in any of the following areas: visual/fine arts, fashion design, or craftsmanship
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to enforce museum specific etiquette with students
• Be able to work collaboratively and inclusively with all constituent groups of students, teachers, museum staff and visitors;

Educators are responsible for teaching the MOCA Summer Art Camps, a series of inclusive art camps held Monday- Friday for ten weeks (June 9th - August 15th) of summer for children ages 6-13 with a mandatory inclusivity training on June 7th.
Educators will lead a one-week session, at minimum and four consecutive weeks at a time maximum. Educators are welcome to apply to lead multiple sessions. Educators will use visual aids, digital tools, assessments and checklists to maintain a proper attendance and engagement. All Educators must attend the summer camp training on Saturday, June 7th.
Major Areas of Responsibility
• Implement creative and engaging presentations for their Session using the curriculum provided. This includes creating examples and visuals, demonstrating process, modifications for learning styles of the classroom and showcasing excellent education standards.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude with staff, parents, and campers.
• Ensure that activities are effectively and safely implemented following risk management protocol.
• Maintain clear attendance and submit reports after every class, this includes any behavior reports, pre and post assessments, and updates on session progress during the end of day recap.
• Maintain in clear contact with the MOCA Edu department.
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, patience, and flexibility.
• Create accurate pre and post assessments of all campers by using guidelines dictated by The Children’s Trust.
• Maintain a consistent and punctual schedule.
• Manage final presentations of student works, creating a clear standard for works to either be stored for the final Showcase or to be taken home by guardians.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Preferably a Bachelors in Education, Art, Art History or a related discipline.

The Community Programs Manager is a public facing role that includes precise administrative management surrounding all aspects of community engagement programs. Reporting to the Director of Education and Community Engagement, they will be responsible for MOCA Tours and Community Outreach Programs, both onsite and offsite spanning from youth to seniors. This position will work closely with other departments to ensure high-quality guest experience and accurate data reporting. A successful candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, as well as highly collaborative and creative.
Major Areas of Responsibility
The Community Programs Manager will:
· Manage all aspects of community education programs, including the Junior Docent Program, the MOCA Seniors Program, MOCA Tours, and the Community Outreach Programs, and collaborate with the department to track supply orders, budget tracking, and staffing.
· Assist in the ideation and management of the MOCA Makers adult hands on workshop program which occurs once a month.
· Lead in the ideation, execution, research and management of exhibition interactives in tandem with Director of Education and Exhibition Department, and Communications Department.
· Build out tour scheduling systems and processes, and schedule and assist in museum tours and workshops in the CRM, including outreach for tour reservations.
· Create exhibition informed workshops in tandem with Director of Education and Community Engagement and the Youth Education Manager.
· Assist in the training, scheduling and management of a cohort of part-time and independent contractor staff, who are responsible for offering tours, providing departmental support, and conducting art workshops, as well as supporting other departments as necessary.
· Attend strategic community partnership meetings in assistance to the Director of Education, to identify public programming and outreach opportunities.
· Assist the education department’s community engagement efforts by occasionally serving as a liaison to schools or city programs.
· Work in collaboration with all departments to implement processes and procedures that further the museum’s strategic goals.
· Create appropriate registration pages in the museum’s CRM/POS in collaboration with other departments.
· Lead internal exhibition tour training across departments, including internal tour guides.
· Serve as the main contact point for independent contractors working community programs.
· Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
· Clearly track and report on adult and public program data and budgets.
Qualifications
· 3-5 years of experience in a museum program or an arts education environment
· Superior verbal communication skills, as well as professional interpersonal skills.

The Director of Finance is a dynamic and experienced member of MOCA’s team that plays a crucial role in overseeing all operational aspects of the museum’s finances. The Director is an expert in in database management, financial controls and best practices. The ideal candidate ensures compliance while fostering a culture of support and collaboration across departments. The Director participates in the short-and-long term financial planning of the organization and drives financial sustainability to support our mission.

Financial Planning: Strategy & Budget
• Develop, in collaboration with the Deputy Director, financial strategy to support the organization's goals and long-term sustainability.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget.
• Oversee implementation of financial plans and annual budgets for each department.

Financial Reporting
