This Sunday, we will continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month and will be reading “Islandborn” by Junot Díaz and Leo Espinosa, and making our own little island using a paper plate, some paint, and some sparkle!
To paint along, you will need to following art supplies:-A white paper dinner plate, nice and big to make sure you can fit all the details of your island-A rainbow of tempra or finger paint-A paint brush-A Glue stick-Some bright colored bangles or sparkles, or any other media you would like to add of your own!-Paper towels/ baby wipes-Water-A space where you can get a little messyMake sure to share pictures of your final projects on MOCA's facebook page, share them with us by tagging us on instagram @mocanomi or email them to education@mocanomi.org . We can't wait to see all your islands!
