Wednesday, February 1, 7 – 9:30 p.m.
MOCA North Miami in partnership with GreenSpace Miami will host a screening of Raoul Peck’s Moloch Tropical followed by a conversation with Arts For Learning Program Director, choreographer and dancer Ivy Bennet and Haitian-American filmmaker and artist, Monica Sorelle.
Moloch Tropical is the 2009 film about the political revolution in Haiti. “The ruler of Haiti and his closest collaborators are getting ready for a state celebration. However, the morning of the event, he wakes to discover that a violent revolution has erupted. Overwhelmed, he plunges into a deep mental confusion as things continue to unfold.” Join us for this screening and conversation following with our partners at GreenSpace Miami.
This program is made possible with partial support from City National Bank.
