Summer 2021 Camp Showcase

MOCA Summer Art Camp Showcase

MOCA Summer Art Camp Showcase celebrates a creativity filled summer where campers explored new mediums, learned about famous artists, and dove into fun and creative thinking all from the safety of their homes. Our weekly themes included 3D clay modeling, graphic design, book arts, mixed media, printmaking, fashion and textiles design, drawing, and painting. We had a total of 57 campers this summer joining us virtually from our local South Florida community to as far as Chicago, Texas and Canada. In this exhibition you will find over 100 artworks by the MOCA campers and the teaching artists that guided them.

We thank The Children's Trust for their continued support of our summer camp scholarships, bringing free art education to South Florida's children. MOCA North Miami education programs are made possible with the continued support of the North Miami Mayor and Council and the City of North Miami, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, and are funded in part by The Kirk Foundation, The Miami Foundation, The Alvah H. and Wyline P. Chapman Foundation,  and The Children’s Trust.

This exhibition was curated by MOCA Education Programs Coordinator Shawna Moulton.
