Name and title/occupation
Nathaniel Sandler, writer and the Founding Director of Bookleggers Library
What are you reading/watching/listening to?
Currently reading a mixture of Everglades histories and detective novels. Watching the Sopranos and trying to convince my girlfriend to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy but she is not on board. Just cracked the new Fiona Apple album and it feels very of the moment.
How has your work changed now that you are doing it from home?
Bookleggers thrives in public and in crowds, so we are retooling the work to focus on the half of our mission that focuses on book access. We are planning on a social distancing model being the new normal for at least the rest of 2020 possible a full year.
My personal writing has picked up a little but writing for hire has not. If you have any leads, by all means share them as I am broke.
Have you taken up any new activities?
I learned how to make matzoh ball soup and I am going to learn how to make mozzarella this week.
What are you looking forward to doing once we are no longer sequestered?
Eating more matzoh ball soup and mozzarella.
Do you have a MOCA memory that you want to share?
Kevin Arrow and Alex Garcia are my favorite and I miss them both every day.
