Name and title/occupation
Carol Damian, Art Historian, former Professor of Art History and former Director and Chief Curator of Frost Art Museum at FIU
What are you reading/watching/listening to?
Overload of art videos, art courses (I have followed all of Waldemar Januszczak’s series and enjoyed a lot), Reading The Overstory right now and have a pile of books.
How has your work changed now that you are doing it from home?
I work from home anyway because I spend much of my time doing research and writing – but I miss visiting the artists and exhibitions.
Have you taken up any new activities?
Sure, creative visits to my grandchildren! Drive-thru visits and virtual – not the same 😟😟. triple the number of dog walks also… Virtual yoga and exercise classes – getting boring.
What are you looking forward to doing once we are no longer sequestered?
Going back to see art in person and resuming life…
Do you have a MOCA memory that you want to share?
Private tour with Francine Birbragher and Cecilia Vicuña, and of course the Haitian show spooked me out. I still see those skulls!
