Peter Shelton (born 1951 in Troy, Ohio) is an american sculptor based in California. He got his B.A in Pomona College (Claremont, CA) in 1973 and his M.F.A., University of California (Los Angeles, CA) in 1979. Shelton’s works fit into the Post-minimalist movement. “I like to think of my work as a threshold between in and out, object and space, heavy and light” said Shelton when describing his work.
Waterbaby is a sculpture created with delicate metal rendering. The rendering is of a fetal baby continuously bathed by water that flows from three small curved pipes.
