Ana Albertina Delgado Álvarez (born April 1963 in Havana, Cuba) is a Latin-American artist working in Miami, FL. Her work focuses on the female psyche and the relationship between the inner child and woman. Her art suggests beauty but can be described as grotesque as sensuality and sexuality meet in her portraits.
En Tu Piel Bordada is one of Delgado’s earlier works where she worked with pencil or ink on various types of paper. The drawings have a feminine and delicate quality to them and are reflective of Delgado’s choice to depict her inner dreams and concerns in these works.
[description:] Small scattered drawings on horizontal paper, twelve in total. At the bottom of the piece there are six different drawings of plants and flowers, separated equally. A yellow line runs down the middle of the piece. At the top center of the work there is a graphite drawn stain.
