On December 1, 2005, the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami opened MOCA at Goldman Warehouse, a new exhibition and art warehouse space in the Wynwood Arts and Entertainment district of Miami. This new facility just south of the Miami Design District, will become a satellite branch of MOCA’s Joan Lehman Building. Tony Goldman and Joey Goldman donated the Goldman Warehouse to MOCA through the year 2009. MOCA at Goldman Warehouse doubles the museum’s current gallery space and adds 4,000 square feet of art storage. The new galleries are used to exhibit portions of the museum’s permanent collection and projects by emerging artists. This state-of-the-art, climate-controlled annex also houses a branch of the MOCA Shop.
