Creative Arts

MOCA welcomes people of all ages and abilities to learn about the many aspects of contemporary art through a variety of programs.

CREATIVE ARTS

Contributions to Creative Arts support MOCA’s mission to educate and serve the entire community.   Scholarships are offered to children who could not otherwise be able to attend the Creative Arts Saturday programs, held once a month from October through May and Creative Arts Summer Camp.

JUNIOR DOCENTS

MOCA’s acclaimed after school program for middle school and high school students helps them develop their writing, public speaking and critical thinking skills through the study of contemporary art.  Junior Docents work throughout the year to publish the teen arts journal, MOCA’Zine, which is distributed free to over 65,000 public high school students.  Through their work on the  MOCA’Zine, Junior Docents learn about reporting and researching, design and layout, printing and distribution as well as contemporary art.
