Saturday, March 29, 2 pm
RSVP required. Limited seating.
On March 29, 2014, the museum will present an Art Talk with Dan Graham in conversation with Alex Gartenfeld, MOCA’s Interim Director and Chief Curator. Dan Graham will screen and discuss his seminal film “Two Way Mirror Cylinder Inside Cube and a Video Salon.”
Dan Graham (b. 1942) is a leading figure of post-war and conceptual art, with a wide-ranging practice that includes sculpture, writing, performance and video. Graham’s work questions the relationships between art, architecture and popular culture. His 1992 workTwo-Way Mirror Cylinder Inside Cube and a Video Salon was produced to accompany his installation “The Rooftop Urban Park Project” on the rooftop of Dia Center for the Arts, New York (1991-2004). The work describes the relationship between corporate architecture and nature, and the gentrification of Battery Park City in Manhattan.
Admission to “Video Container” programs are free and open to the public thanks to the support of the Knight Foundation.
