McKenzie Wark discusses the role of technology in popular culture and fine art production today.

Wark is a professor of media and cultural studies at the New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College in New York City. He works primarily on media theory, critical theory and new media and is the author of A Hacker Manifesto (Harvard University Press) and Dispositions (Salt Publishing).

Moreno is a Miami-based artist and theoretician, and the founder of [name] publications. His writing appears regularly in the e-Flux journal.

Local artists engage in an open discussion addressing issues of critique and media theory introduced in the previous evening’s lecture. Conversation is structured around modes of artistic production.
