Rosa de la Cruz and Ibett Yanez will create a visual presentation for the MOCA Shakers and their guests that will focus specifically on the female body and its central role throughout the history of art beginning with the “The Venus of Willendorf”, dating back to 24,000 BC. Art has always been an integral part of the fabric of society. Ever since the prehistoric era, art has been present as a form of documentation and language. This will be a unique and engaging way of looking at art for the MOCA Shakers. Following the lecture, the Shakers will enjoy a tour of the collection, complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
