MOCA’s Summer Journalism/Photojournalism Institute is a FREE six-week intensive program that gives high-school students the opportunity to learn journalism/photojournalism skills, such as photography and investigative techniques, journalism skills, the history of documentary photography, and interviewing strategies. Students will work on assignments and produce a comprehensive group project as well as travel to local destinations for reporting purposes and on fieldtrips to locations for photography shoots. The Institute is an exceptional opportunity requiring a high-level of commitment and willingness to learn. The MOCA Summer Journalism/Photojournalism Institute inspires students and prepares them for real-world experiences as aspiring professional journalists and photojournalists. Enriching and fun, the three-week program is a great opportunity for Miami’s motivated students from all area schools.
